FAQ
To open Settings, tap ☰ at the top left › General.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings › Data › Erase all data on this device. This:
stops Live Activities and removes reminder notifications;
withdraws AI data sharing;
asks Google to revoke access (this needs an internet connection) and deletes every sign-in token;
deletes accounts, cached events, pending changes, settings, chat history and exports.
Events in Google Calendar are not deleted; to delete the events themselves, delete them in Google Calendar. The little technical data left on our server holds no event content, and most of it expires within days (see How long we keep data in the Privacy Policy).
If you plan to delete the app, erase your data first, while you're online: deleting the app does not revoke Google access, and iOS may keep sign-in tokens. Afterwards you can check under Third-party apps & services in your Google Account that Smart Schedules is no longer listed.
How do I remove a Google account?
Tap your avatar at the top right, swipe left on the account under "Google accounts" (or tap ⋯), and choose Remove account. You can also tap the ⋯ next to the account's email in the ☰ menu. Removing an account asks Google to revoke the app's access and deletes that account's sign-in tokens and cached events from this iPhone; nothing in Google Calendar is deleted. If some changes haven't reached Google yet, the app tells you first and offers "Sync first".
Revoking needs an internet connection. If you were offline when you removed the account, or want to make sure access is revoked, remove Smart Schedules under Third-party apps & services in your Google Account.
How do I stop AI data sharing (withdraw consent)?
Go to Settings › AI & privacy › Stop sharing. The assistant then sends nothing more to Google Gemini. The Dynamic Island and Live Activities are not affected: they are created on your iPhone and never needed AI data sharing. Demo mode keeps working. To turn sharing back on, tap Allow on the same page. "What is sent" on that page lists the kinds of data sent (for example "Your calendar names and assistant settings, but not your Google account email addresses"); for the full list of what is sent, see section 4 of the Privacy Policy.
When does an event appear in the Dynamic Island?
Each timed event appears in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen the time you chose before it starts (Settings › Notifications › Dynamic Island › Show next event: 30, 15, 10 or 5 minutes; 30 by default) and goes away after it ends. Live Activities are created on your iPhone: they need no AI data sharing, and your events are not sent to our server for them.
iOS 26 and later: each time you open Smart Schedules, it schedules the next two days' Live Activities, and each one appears on time even when the app isn't open.
iOS 18: iOS 18 doesn't let apps schedule them ahead, so an event appears only if you open Smart Schedules within that time before it starts or while it's under way. Once it appears, it stays after you close the app.
If an event never appears, check that "Show next event" isn't Off, and that Live Activities are turned on in iPhone Settings › Apps › Smart Schedules. For details, see section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
Are there in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No. This version (1.0) has no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so there is nothing to cancel or restore.
What does the AI assistant need to work?
An iPhone with iOS 18 or later and an internet connection.
AI data sharing allowed (in the dialog the first time you use it, or Settings › AI & privacy › Allow).
A connected Google account, so the assistant can read and write your calendar. Without signing in, demo mode uses an offline demo assistant and sample calendars.
You must be 18 or older: Smart Schedules is only for people aged 18 or older (rated 18+ on the App Store), as Google's Gemini API terms require.
For speaking instead of typing: microphone and speech recognition permission.
For what the assistant sends, see The AI assistant in the Privacy Policy.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings › Data › Export my data. The app creates a JSON file with your settings, what the assistant remembers, accounts and calendars, cached events and chat history, and you choose where to save or send it from the share sheet. The file never contains sign-in tokens.
Why do my Google Calendar events say "由 Smart Schedules 智慧助理自動排程"?
Events the assistant creates begin their description with this line ("scheduled automatically by the Smart Schedules assistant") followed by what you said, so you can see where the event came from. Anyone who can see the event, including guests, can read it. You can edit the description in Google Calendar to remove the line.
